**TRANZACTION LEAVES L2 CLUB**
After a mighty 7 years of putting on parties at L2 in Truro, we at Tranzaction now excitingly announce the dawn of a new era as we head into pastures new with March being our final month at the Club which has been our weekly home for all this time.
Do not fear, this is far from the end, rather a new beginning – a refreshing new chapter for both Tranzaction and the South-West clubbers as a whole. The move has come as a mutual decision between Tranzaction and the new board of directors that now is the time to part company and face the inevitable in upping our game and reaching our full potential of putting on even Bigger and Better parties.
The South-West will remain our much loved home as we truly believe this is THE leading region for hard dance with the most up for it, open minded and loyal clubbers in the whole of the country.
Our focus will now be aimed at several bigger parties a month at various venues throughout Cornwall and the South West, as well as national and international tours and of course our forthcoming weekly night in Ibiza.
Statement from Tranzaction founder and head honcho Christian Johnson:
‘Tranzaction at L2 Nightclub has become a spiritual party institution for thousands of South West clubbers making their weekly Friday night pilgrimage to Truro to party as one joining hundreds of like minded clubbers and the worlds biggest and best DJs/PAs to unite as one to let lose 'our way' together we are Tranzaction!
It is with great sadness that we leave L2, we have had some amazing experiences their with some of the biggest dance crowds Cornwall has ever seen and some truly life changing atmospheric moments that will always stay with us and hope they will stay with you the clubber who have made Tranzaction parties what they are. Being recognized by the worlds press as 'something more than special' gaining various awards like nominations for best hard dance night (05 HDAs) and nominated best dance night (Mixmag music awards) and many others.
We can only really appreciate how many great nights we have had at L2 by looking back at the photo albums and messages upon the Tranzaction website. It is actually hard to try and think of even one bad night, but things do unfortunately move on and this is the end of an era and will go down in the musical history of South West as a special time and we have all been big a part of it.
From Brandon Block to Yoji Biomehanika, Tidy Boys to Benny Bennasi, Disco Brothers to Mark EG, Mauro Picotto to Judge Jules, Lisa Pin Up to Slipmatt, Alex kidd to Charlie G the list is endless but they will all tell you the same thing that what we have had @ tranzaction is special and they all loved every minute of playing to you guys and the first comment most of them make is what an amazing crowd to perform to - YOU ROCK. And to everybody that has attended and supported Tranzaction events, some of you embarking on huge missions sometimes hundreds of miles to make it to us, a huge THANKYOU!
Looking back at my first Tranzaction event at L2 and to be fair it took everybody by surprise a huge crowd many of witch had not experienced that type of music or atmosphere before and an eye opener for all concerned the clubbers the DJs the staff and Management of L2 and myself, Tranzaction was born.. things would happen.. it was time for change and here we are 7 years on loving it and looking forward to each and every Friday. We have also been lucky enough to host parties all over the UK and abroad from Ibiza to Japan, Scotland to Wales, Ireland to Russia people have also felt the unique vibe of Tranzaction, the party vibe you are all a huge part of and although it is time for change it has only just started and this is not the end its A NEW BEGINNING!
Although we will not be working within the walls of L2 for the foreseeable future, that definitely does not mean that we will not be doing what we do best 'putting on dance parties and continuing being committed and as passionate about dance music as ever and concentrating on bigger
better parties with a 100% commitment to providing the best nights out in the south west and as always you the clubbers the Tranzaction crowd will be the first to no where and when.
There isn’t much more really for us to say respect to you all we love ya !!
Christian Johnson
TRANZACTION (dare to be different)
PS. A big Thank you to Tim Vigus and the staff of L2 for many years of supporting what we do and being an integral part of flying the flag for dance music in Cornwall id like to wish them all the best for the future’
So… As for now we have 5 more parties left at L2 and the last will be Friday 30th March
Lets make them all something special to remember!
Statement from L2 owner Tim Vigus
‘It is with great sadness that it has fallen on my watch to bring to an end the weekly Friday Tranzaction Nights that have been part of the fabric of L2 nightclub for the last 7 years. It has been an education and a privilege to work with Tranzactions founder Christian and Charlie G for all these years. I will never burn my bridges with Trazaction and am looking forward to working with Christian on a monthly date and possibly a Summer tour in the South- west. On behalf of L2 Ltd I would like to thank Tranzaction for putting L2 on the National and International clubbing map.’
Comment from Resident Charlie G
‘Tranzaction has without doubt been the pivotal point and driving force in my career and the most enjoyable, exciting, educational and rewarding time of my life. It’s an absolute honor to be the main resident for over 3 years now. Tranzaction at L2 will also hold a special place in my heart with countless memorable nights and ever-lasting spine tingling moments. This new chapter in the brands development is an exciting time for everyone involved and more importantly for the South West clubbers. Thanks to everyone who played a part in the L2 era, making each and every Friday so special. Here’s to an even bigger and better future!’
Comments from some much loved Tranzaction guest DJs
TIDY BOYS: The Tidy Boys have always had a soft spot for Tranzaction and the long distance for us to travel was so much easier as the warm reception and enthusiasm generated by the crowds made it a special gig at L2
JFK: I have been fortunate enough to have been part of the Tranzation line ups in Truro for several years, it is my favorite south coast gig and never a chore, even after the six hour drive to get there - long may it continue!
CALLY & JUICE: Over the past few years, since Tranzaction started booking us for they're events, the nights have become one of our favorites to play at. The atmosphere is always spot on and the clubbers have got a wicked, up-for-it attitude. Add to this the effort that Tranzaction put into each event and the welcome they give us every time, it's not hard to see why they're one of the most successful Dance events in the UK at the moment. We look forward to working with these guys for the rest of 2007 and beyond Long live Tranzaction.
VINYLGROOVER: Tranzaction as both a club & brand has been one of my favourites for over three years now! As bi-monthly resident I have seen it grow & become associated with quality music, DJ’s & top production too. As Tranzaction now moves into a new era I can see some exiting times ahead & with a passionate promotions team & one of the most up for it & loyal crowds in the country I can see them raising their game for 2007. See you there!
AMBER D: It has been a pleasure playing for Tranzaction at L2 over the last few years It's always set to be a wicked night there, and the crowd are totally up for it 100% of the time. Here's to Tranzaction moving on to bigger and better things.
UBERDRUCK: I’m feeling very sad, when you told me that you leaving your home-base. Every time I played for Tranzaction in the last years I had a really good night and a lot of fun with the clubbers The atmosphere was spot on and the vibe was special for me. Club size and the Sound system worked together with the clubbers But I’m sure you will find a new home very soon for the Tranzaction Brand. Hope to see you and all the clubbers soon at a new home for some Uberfuckindruckin ness.
BRANDON BLOCK: What a shame the light of our South West crown is put out!
LED: Tranzaction in L2 was one of the maddest gigs I’ve played in a long time. Them leaving can only mean the mad party atmosphere is making its way to a new and very lucky venue.
