When you hear the name Nick Rafferty you immediately think of Sundissential, Nick was
there at the humble beginning and before he became a world class resident he used to get
sent all over the country putting flyers in theshops for Sundissential! His position soon
changed (after endlessly bugging the promoters) and rightfully took up his place behind the decks as one of Sundissential's first original residents and has grown alongside
Sundissential since that day. From then he was re-named at Sundissential HQ "The Specks On The Decks" much to his annoyance I am sure! To look at what he has achieved is incredible not only does he play at all the major clubs in the UK he is also in great demand all over the world, on top of that had many successful releases on various record labels and has now launched his own label NR Recordings!

NICK RAFFERTY THE PERSON
Musically I sang in Lichfield Cathedral Choir, played the flute and piano as a youngster. I played all sports, football for the county and golf for the county and england schools. I play golf still as one of my ways to relax. I enjoy going to the gym. I certainly enjoy eating out. I love eating at nice restaurants, Thai and Mediterranian are two favourites. I enjoy clothes and dressing well (not necessarily expensively) that is fun. I have no pets, it wouldn't be fair being away alot! Over the years I have had many favourite bands from Frankie goes to Holywood, to Neds Atomic Dustbin, Primal Scream, Nirvana, Sonic Youth. Music is great it is all around us in what ever we do, I love allsorts it is so important to be open minded. When we go out it is for meals or the pub, but I do enjoy more funked up clubs and live bands (there is no better atmosphere!) On TV I enjoy Eastenders and Holyoaks for ya easy watching crap! I love comedy, the Fast Show, Blackadder and in particular Bo'Selecta!!! Mo-Fo!!

BEST MOMENT
There has been many over the years with the most notable ones being the early Sundissential Bank Holiday and New Years Eve parties at Pulse. Playing alongside Tony de Vit was an experience that could never be equalled. More recently Global Gathering 2003 was nuts, the feedback afterwards from the clubbers was fantastic saying that my set was one of the best on the night and considering who I was playing alongside this was some compliment.
