It was at the age on 17, as young raver at Hard NRG legend’s Yoji Biomehanika’s early
underground parties that Energy-Dai became inspired and first started DJing. He has been
the hottest one to watch in Osaka for sometime since.

By the age of 22 Dai began organising his own events, and through the years has risen to
the hold to crown of underground DJ’s in Osaka, and is now main resident at its best venue,
CLUB JOULE. Energy Dai’s name actually translated means big energy, and that is exactly
what you get as soon as his hands touch the turntables. He delivers a funked-up dynamite mix of trance, and high energy techno and a touch of harder house, that has always has clubbers begging for more.

Having played with talents as varied as Signum, Captain Tinrib, Anne Savage, BK, the Sharp Boys and underground heroes like Ben Sims, Oliver Ho, Umek, Valentino, Trevor Rockliffe, Daz Saund and 75 other western DJ’s during his residency in Osaka, Energy Dai has come to understand what makes a truly great DJ, and has set about making himself one.

Take Energy Dai and put him on a normal rig and he will rock any party, but he is most at
home with 3 turntables, a pioneer DJM 600 and a pumping system. He can truly put together the best moments in contemporary hard house, techno and trance in a way that would make contemporary UK talents shudder as the dancefloor does.

Energy Dai lets you know, by scratching and seemingly impossible two and three deck mixes that he is a turntable master while never forgetting that in the end the music must speak for itself. He plays Hard House, Trance, Hard Trance and Hard Techno with a technique normally reserved for turntable masters such as Carl Cox and Richie Hawtin.
